The GeneCanvas website is intended to be open. The origin of every stored information (laboratory and person) will be indicated
and direct links to this source (email address) will be provided if the contributor agrees.
The required information will include :
- short description of the candidate gene
- reference of the available sequences used for the gene scan
- type of gene scan (SSCP, DGGE, sequencing ...)
- number of individuals included in the gene scan
- location and characteristics of the polymorphisms
- population in which allele frequencies were estimated
(the description of the population may be submitted for the "Studies" section)
- allele frequencies
- linkage disequilibrium and haplotype frequencies if possible
- information required to reference the contributing laboratory and person
